AJIE launch new coalition initiative in Atlanta, GA as joint venture effort between ACF Region IV & the Global Peace Festival Foundation under the agenda of Strengthening Families & Communities. This initiative now enjoys the involvement of approximately 50 of the most prominent governmental & NGO organizations in the Greater Atlanta area. The highlight event connected with this initiative was the Strengthening Families & Communities Summit that was convened on December 9th, 2010 under the theme “Heal the Family – Heal the World.” See further reports at www.globalpeace festival.org.

Working jointly with ACF Reg. II, AJIE supported the expansion of the Coalition in New York from its beginning partnership of 20 to now approximately 40 organizations that include governmental agencies and NGOs.

The ACF Region III Coalition has likewise been expanded to include more very significant partners

As it was in ’09, in ’10 - AJIE moderated a major panel during the African American Healthy Marriage Initiative’s 4 day conference at Hampton University in Virginia. (www.aahmi.org)

AJIE expanded its relationship with the Global Peace Festival Foundation to include a significant role in developing its “Family Track Program” within the United States.
